Evolution of Capitalism- "Global problem and culture of the capitalism"

The book, “Global problem and culture of the capitalism” accounts for the evolution of capitalism in different part of the world. The understanding of the history is necessary to clearly interpret the effects of the process in the future. It also shows how capitalism tackles the different problem of the present situation and how it stands in comparison to other system. The main portion is the analyze the effect of capitalism on the world.

Different chapter deals with different problem as starting portion helps in understanding the concept the capitalism, then next chapter deals with history and last concluding chapter deals with future of the capitalism. Chapter 7 deals with topic environment and consumption dealing with case of consumption of sugar, beef and sustainable development throughout the world. It deals with issues such as ecological footprint, that is amount of land available to supply necessary resources and absorbing the waste and related pattern of different countries.

The developed nations utilize the benefit but developing nations have to pay the price. For example the consumption of sugar was considered to be luxury product as the production was limited but after the colonization of Africa and Asia, this product become cheaply available in western country and it become an ordinary product. Long distance shipping, retail trade, investment finance, slave trade and sugar plantations made availability of the product in all part of the world. The same was the case with beef as in colonial America pig was the choice of meat not the beef was the choice.

But later on the colonization beef was becomes the choice of meat. Britain control the beef production in the US and hamburger invented by accident in Ohio. Later on hamburger become internalization as beef was 40 percent cheaper in comparison to Latin America. Developing nation such as China, India is following the sustainable development model as they are following the mixed model of capitalism and socialism.

In developed country estimated 15 acres of land required for the average person. This cause the deficit, so the developed nations seek these resources from underdeveloped country. In this way capitalism play its important role in shaping the modern economy. Extraction of the natural resources for the one side benefit causes the environment pollution. The factor responsible for environment pollution is population, technology and over consumption.

Today’s the world is of fierce competition. Every company tries to be on top at any cost. For achieving the success they adopt different types of strategies and policy. Business environment plays a great role in framing the company strategies. Environment refers to the situation in which business operates.

Over the last few decades, capitalism has marched through our consciousness through mergers and acquisitions ably aided by rising globalization and technological innovation. The dance of capitalism is in full public view with big-ticket business deals, internal restructuring and product portfolio management becoming the norm. With such rapid change, comes the need to effectively manage the change and hence the word change management.

Conclusion

In conclusion we can say the international business environment is very dynamics in nature and it requires quite careful planning of the policy and its proper implementation. Without the proper analysis of external and internal factors no business will able to survive in international fronts. Thus the internal business environment consists of good balance of micro and a macro environment. The micro environment consists of factors in the immediate environment that affects the performance of the firm, such as suppliers, competitors, marketing intermediaries, customers etc
