The company, which brought back the Nokia in smartphone
battle is HMD Global, the company offers a good balance between design and
performance at a budget price ratio, giving a tough competition to its rivals. Nokia 5.1 Plus is Android One handset, which means
that we will get stock Android experience along with quick security updates.

The phone comes with facial recognition and fingerprint
sensor for additional security. The software is quite optimized and UI is, mainly
bloat free which gives strength to the overall performance of the device. The

other intelligent tasks. The phones come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal

Design, Build, Display- Nokia 5.1 Plus
There is the presence of the headphone jack and the secondary
mic on the top, and USB-Type C port and the speaker at the bottom. At this
budget segment this device offer USB-Type C port. The phone has hybrid dual-SIM
tray and the front panel has 5.8-inch panel
having 19:9 HD+ IPS display with 2.5D curved glass for protection with
small bezels and a large notch. The smartphone follows the modern trend having edge-to-edge
display, larger screen to body ratio and wider notch. The notch holds a front
camera, an earpiece and an ambient light sensor. The device, compact and lightweight,
making it good for one hand use. The glossy look gives a feeling of premium,
but glass back is slippery and invites fingerprints and smudges. There is vertically-aligned
dual rear camera setup assisted by a single LED flash underneath which is a
fingerprint sensor.
Battery:
The phone comes up with 3060mAh enabling it to deliver a
good one day's stamina enabling normal usage, talking, internet browsing and
you tube streaming and decent game play.. The battery levels do drop when
playing a resource-intensive game.
Camera
The phone comes up with 13MP+5MP dual rear camera setup
having an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. In the front there is an 8MP sensor with an
f/2.2 aperture with front flash. The captured images turned out to be good showing
sharpness and details right if we talk of daylight photography. The image has
little noise but the dynamic range is above average with decent contrast ratio.
But low light photography struggle a lot, the phone has live Bokeh effect with
decent edge detection and blurring out the background. The camera app offers
other modes including Panorama, AR stickers, Beauty, Manual and Dual-sight mode
The front camera performed decently in good lighting conditions but struggles
in low light with some amount of noise seeping in.
Verdict:
At the price range of Rs 10,999, the Nokia 5.1 Plus is
really a great deal , if you are looking for faster and stock Android
experience, fluid and snappy UI, smooth overall performance, premium design,
decent display and cameras with relatively good battery life.
