In India Teacher's Day in India is celebrated on 05 September every year. The decoration of school is done and special programs are organized throughout the country in school. The enthusiasm of teacher and school is at the top level in all cultural programs. It serves as a break from tiring school curriculum and refresh the student and teacher faculty. The teacher can give direction to the country and if any nation wants to develop faster then the teacher should be respected and their due credit should be given.
Why 5th September is chosen for Teachers' Day
It is the birth date of Dr. Radhakrishnan, who was the first Vice President of India and served the country from 1952 to 1962. He, later on, becomes second President from the time period of 1962 to 1967.
Dr. Radhakrishnan was highly respected teachers and before entering into politics, he used to teach at the University of Mysore, University of Calcutta and also at Oxford University. He was much renowned into teaching faculty and student also appreciates his teaching style.Dr. Rahakrishna believes that the future of any nation is shaped by youth and youth are trained by the teacher in their respective field. The teacher should give his student good moral value along with teaching his subject.
After becoming President his old student expresses view to celebrate his birthday at the grand level, but he then suggests it is better if this day is remembered as Teacher’s day instead of his birthday. Since that time 05 September is celebrated as Teacher’s day throughout the country.
Teachers' Day celebrations in schools
This day is full of enthusiasm and student prepare themselves as their favorite teacher on this day and take the subject class in the junior class. The fun part of the whole exercise is teacher itself sits as the student and student take classes that day. Senior students are responsible to maintain discipline throughout the school on that day.

Some school organizes small sports activities in which teacher performs the different short challenge and student give them a grade. In many schools, students perform dances, do dramas, conduct fancy dress competitions, give lectures and participate in many other activities while performing the teachers. In some schools, collective activities are organized for students and teachers. This is all the more fun. They play different games and join different activities and bond well with it. Students also bring greeting cards, flowers and other gifts for their teachers on this special occasion. Teachers are also happy to receive various types of colorful gifts from their students.

As a teacher are pillars of society so this day is to give respect and credit to their hard work. The work of a teacher is considered to be one of the toughest in the world because they can shape the future of the country by nurturing the mind of a young fertile brain. The teacher has to deal with different type of students in a particular class and every student has a different capacity to learn and respond. The job of a teacher is to get the most from each and every student. Some student can be good in the study while other’s are good at sports, some are punctual while other’s are somewhat notorious, so the teacher has to do deal with all types of student. A good teacher used to encourage the student to find their hidden talent and nurture student according to their talent and ability. The teacher day celebration is a way for society to give respect to the teacher for their hard work.
