CoronaVirus- What make it deadly?

Coronavirus has exceptionally large single-stranded RNA genomes - approximately 26,000 to 32,000 bases or RNA "letters". Coronavirus particles are surrounded by a fatty outer layer, called an envelope and usually appearing spherical, as seen under an electron microscope, with a crown of club-shaped spikes or "corona" on their surface.

Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that commonly cause mild diseases, such as the common cold. However, some types of coronaviruses can infect the lower airways, causing serious diseases such as pneumonia or bronchitis. Most people are infected with coronaviruses at some point in their lives and most of these infections are harmless. A notable exception is the new coronavirus that causes Kovid-19 disease.

The virus that causes Covid-19 is known as SARS-CoV-2. It emerged for the first time in Wuhan, China in late 2019. The outbreak has since spread to China and other countries around the world. By the end of January,

Coronaviruses replicate their RNA genome using an enzyme called RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, which is prone to errors, but genomic analyzes so far suggest that Kovid-19 is slowly mutating, making it more lethal. The most commonly reported symptoms include fever, dry cough, and fatigue, and in mild cases people may simply have a runny nose or sore throat. In the most severe cases, people with the virus can cause difficulty breathing, and eventually experience organ failure. Some cases are fatal.

There are currently no vaccines or specific drug treatments for coronavirus, but efforts are underway to develop the vaccine and HIV and Ebola drugs are being tested in people with Kovid-19. On March 18, the World Health Organization (WHO) said they have begun testing the most promising drugs, including the long-used antimalarial drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, a new antiviral drug called Dadsvir And the combination of the two HIV drugs is called lopinavir and lopinavir. ritonavir. HIV drugs will also be tested in combination with an antiviral called interferon beta.

On 22 March, several countries in Europe, including the UK, began a collaborative trial of the same drugs, which would complement WHO's efforts.Several other potential treatments are being explored, most notably the possibility of developing antibodies against Kovid-19.

Other severe coronavirus

At least two other types of human coronavirus - Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) - are known to cause severe symptoms.

SARS-CoV first emerged in 2002 in Guangdong, China as an uncommon pneumonia, which in some cases developed into fatal respiratory failure. The virus quickly spread to 29 countries, infecting more than 8000 people and killing about 800.

The MERS-CoV pandemic appeared in Saudi Arabia in 2012, with people experiencing similar symptoms to SARS-CoV, but dying at a high rate of 34 percent. In contrast to SARS-CoV, which spreads quickly and widely, MERS-CoV is mainly restricted to the Middle East.

Spread from animals to people

Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they can be transmitted from animals to people. Both SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV originally came from bats, although other animals - including camels in the case of MERS - may act as intermediaries that spread coronaviruses to humans. Many of the early cases of Covid-19 were traced back to a large seafood and animal market in Wuhan. The viruses are thought to have come from bats, possibly through a intermediary animal.

People may experience:

1-cough

2-fever

3-tiredness

4-difficulty breathing (severe cases)

In starting phase virus stick in throat of infected person for 3-4 days. Corona form a thick mucus which block all air vent which cause problem in breathings, for short time artfical breathing through ventilator can help patients.
